PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME UNSOLICITED CREATIVE MATERIALS WITHOUT A SIGNED SUBMISSION RELEASE FORM emailed to you from me upon request.

FAQ

Are you available?

Yes and No! I’m currently The Executive Vice President of Creative Affairs for Falcon’s Beyond Global. As a full-time employee I cannot take any additional projects outside of the company. But, I do have permission to do individual consultations as well as public-speaking and some limited teaching. Please contact me if interested!

Will you look at my pitch?

If it’s part of a consultation, then absolutely. If it’s just for free advice, then I’m sorry I can’t do that at this time. Also please do NOT send me unsolicited creative materials until you have signed a SUBMISSION RELEASE FORM with me (that I will provide to you upon request).

Do you do consulting work?

Yes. My starting rate is $150, which gets you a one hour Zoom call with me to discuss any topic around animation including reviewing new pitches and proposals. In addition, for this fee, I will also read up to 50 pages of material prior to the call.

Can I pick your brain?

Unfortunately, this is very draining and one-sided for me. So, unless we’re family, long time friends, or some other extraordinary circumstance (like you’re someone super cool like Anderson Cooper or Chris Evans) then I must politely decline (but if you’re Ang Lee or Wong Kar Wai I’ll also pick up the phone too! I love their movies!).

Will you produce my project?

Maybe. Please contact me directly with the details. But, I can only do so if it’s 100% aligned with the goals of Falcons’s Beyond Global. And even as a producer, I will be working within Falcon’s, not as an independent.

I just wanna ask you some basics about…

I get it! You just want some simple answers. Well, the good news is that I’ve made a YouTube Channel called ‘Surviving Animation’ to help you! The link to it is at the bottom of this page. I post a lot of videos about the basics of the business of cartoons and I also answer most reasonable questions in the comments sections.
